OUR DESIGN APPROACH
Designing from the site
Every site calls for a different approach. Steep blocks, waterfront properties, bushfire-prone land, biodiversity constraints and Heritage Conservation Areas all influence the design. We consider the site's contours, orientation, views, natural light and planning controls from the outset, developing practical solutions that make the most of each property.
Old and new
Heritage renovations require a careful balance between preserving character and accommodating modern living. We work with heritage specialists where needed, retaining significant features while introducing contemporary spaces that complement the original home.
Space, light and daily life
Good residential design goes beyond floor area. We consider how spaces connect, how natural light enters the home, and how privacy, indoor-outdoor living and changing family needs shape the layout.
